What this page answers
What is coming back, why, and whether the returned units went back into sellable stock.
Whose data and scope
- One store and one marketplace.
- Rows come from Amazon's FBA customer returns report, by the date Amazon processed the return. Returns of orders you shipped yourself are not in this report.
- Units with the same date, product, reason and status are summed into one row. The table is capped at 100 rows, so pick a shorter window in a store with many returns.
How to read it
Returns table
The 30d, 90d and 365d buttons set the window. Rows are newest first.
- Date is the day Amazon processed the return.
- Product shows the display name, the group and SKU, and the ASIN. The name links to the listing page.
- Qty is the number of units in that row.
- Reason is the reason code the buyer chose, as Amazon reports it, for example APPAREL_TOO_LARGE or UNWANTED_ITEM. Size and fit codes together usually point at the size chart; quality codes point at the product itself.
- Status is Amazon's disposition of the unit, for example "Unit returned to inventory" when it is sellable again, or a damaged or customer-damaged status when it is not.
Where to go next
- Sales overview for the refund totals and their share of sales.
- Listing settings to review the size chart when fit codes dominate.
- Inventory overview to check how returned stock affects cover.
